James used to be Assistant Front Office Manager when I was new in this hotel,
and he became Assistant GM in another Hilton in Maine a year ago.
Carol told me today that he is GM now.
I am so happy for him. Oh well…I am very proud of myself too. lol..
Steven M, training consultant from Dale Carnegie Training, came to see me
and we had a quick meeting today
in order to personalize the training classes
I am going to have in the future.
I really appreciated that my hotel offers me a great opportunity
to attend this valuable training.
I was joking around with my colleagues saying that if I got the promotion
I would make front desk Hello Kitty with pink stuff on it.
After the announcement of the A.F.O.M,
My colleagues tried to get me to Home Depot to get the stuff
for decorating.
That would be funny if guests are checking in to a “Hilton” hotel
with pink desk, pink staff, pink light, and Hello Kitty lobby ambassador. Haha….
I so get into my job and
I am sure I am gonna be a connective leader one day.
